Emerging from a remote past, AKELA RECS presents “Digital Escape” a compilation curated by label programmer Annika Wolfe. This collection introduces a diverse group of talented artists to the label, armed with 12 Electro-magnetic dance floor weapons designed to energize any crowd.  Akela Recs boss, Annika Wolfe, slams 2020 closed with Cold.Cruel.Force. Annika refines their sound while bearing an antagonistic, yet brisk attitude. The three-track EP shifts between Electro and Techno with deliberate percussion, assertive basslines and synths that tease you with traces of sensuality.  

 Trovarsi and Shaun Cruda venture into the Akela Recs realm with a live performance, 4-track EP including a remix by Lee K. The EP packs a dose of classic 303 acid, accompanied by celestial, modular-textures that seep through the layers of rhythmic percussion. The record crosses between House and Techno, while pulling influence from artists, Lady Starlight, Octave One and Felix the Housecat. Lee K gives "Provoke" a special flip into a deep, ethereal abyss that guides you with rumbling low end and shuffling hats to keep your body jacking. 

 Akela Recs welcomes their second release of the year "Give It 2 Me" by label-programmer, Annika Wolfe. After an unintentional year-long hiatus from releases, Wolfe returns with a four-track EP suitable to fulfill your nostalgic 80's desires. While blurring the lines between Electro and Techno with elements of New Wave, the EP oozes raw, dark, sexy, yet up-beat energy. All four tracks command your attention with pulsing basslines, choppy synths, lush pads and precise percussion. Followed by Wolfe's processed vocals and word play. 

Annika Wolfe's forthcoming EP, "Commitment Issues" includes a remix by Trovarsi. The EP will be available on all platforms April 28th, 2020.
